We bought this car seat for our 20lb (<5th percentile) baby who just graduated from rear-facing seat. He loves this seat, compared to the Cosco convertible seat that we have. This can be positioned more upright and that lets him see see whats outside. With the cosco (and most other convertibles I have seen), they are closer to the rear facing ones in design in that they all designed for the baby to be only in a curved-back posture. My baby has tough time on the cosco attempting reach out to see through the window.
The build quality is very nice - more like the $200+ models. Assembly was pretty much a no-brainer. Overall a great buy, considering also that it is the only child seat I will need all the way until he grows out of them (and considering the build quality, it may well last as long).
