We have been using this seat for 1 1/2 years for my daughter who turned three this past July. I started to question how far back the crotch strap was, and called customer service. The rep and I talked about it and the conversation came to the harness slots. My daughter, who is 3 years old, 40" tall, and 36 lbs, is too big for the harness that alledgely goes up to 65 lbs and 52".
I loved the seat, it is a great seat for the money, but don't buy it thinking you can harness your child until they are 4 or 5, unless your child is very small. Once the child's shoulders are taller than the top harness slot it is no longer safe to use the harness, you have to use it as a booster. I am extremely disappointed.
