I bought this car seat waiting for my 1 year old to hit 20 lbs after my sister-in-law bought one for your 1 year old and loved it. Absolutely love it. The recline feature is great, the cup holder is wonderful (wide base cups don't fit, though) and best of all, my little boy loves it. The adjustable head rest is great. It hold his head up even onces he falls asleep. Adjusting the straps is an absolute breaze. I am buying another to replace a different carseat I have for my 2 1/2 yr old.
